Matthew 8:1-17 (The Leper, The Centurion, The Crowd)
Many of us used to expect more. But over time, if we're honest, we've stopped expecting anything good. We've stopped believing that change is possible for us. In today's teaching, we see how Jesus meets us right where we are, in our place of desperation, to help us get our belief back. With Jesus we don't need to pretend everything is fine; instead we can raise our expectation that Jesus really can change us.
