James 5:13-20

Does prayer really work, or are we just talking to ourselves? When life keeps getting harder despite your prayers, it's easy to think the whole thing is pointless. James shows us that prayer isn't about getting God to give us what we want— because we often think what we want is the key to a good life, but the truth is…its Him. Prayer is about staying connected with the actual source of life no matter what we're going through. When we pray honestly and trust the process, something shifts both in our situation and in us, helping us recognize this truth and live out the way life should be, even when it doesn’t look the way we thought it would.
