Last Things First | Dependence When You Think You Have Everything

Revelation 3:14-22 (Laodicea)

Ever feel like you're just going through the motions? Like you've settled into a comfortable routine, but deep down you know there's something more? Whether you're exploring faith or you've been around church for years, we all face the danger of letting comfort replace purpose - of choosing what's easy over what matters. The church in Laodicea had it made. They were comfortable, successful, and had everything they needed. But their comfort had become their curse. They'd traded purpose for predictability, passion for peace, calling for comfort. Sound familiar? It's not just a church problem - it's a human one. We all drift toward what's comfortable rather than what's challenging. Jesus' wake-up call to them echoes to us: being comfortable isn't the same as being alive. Maybe you're successful but unsatisfied. Stable but stuck. Safe but sensing there's something more. Their story challenges us to ask: What if God is calling us to something bigger than our comfort? What if our greatest purpose lies just beyond our comfort zone? This week, we're exploring what happens when we choose purpose over predictability. Because here's the truth: God didn't create you just to exist - He created you to live. Whether you're discovering your purpose for the first time or remembering what you might have forgotten, there's more to life than just getting by. Join us as we discover what it means to wake up from comfortable Christianity and step into the life we were made for. Because your days weren't meant to be wasted - they were meant to matter.
